Tab Trade - What Traders Should Know

The Broker — The Short Version

TabTrade launched in Q1 2026. Online broker registered in Saint Lucia, licensed through Saint Lucia's FSRA. The person who started it is Benjamin Boulter. Previously, he was a senior exec at BlackBull Markets, an New Zealand-regulated broker.

That last detail tells you something. It suggests the person running this knows how a proper broker operates. Does not guarantee anything. Still better than a founder with no industry background.

TabTrade came out of the gate with Equinix LD4/LD5 connectivity. Same facilities prime brokers run on. The typical new launch starts with a white-label MT4 setup. Tab Trade went the other way. Unusual for a new broker.

What you can trade: forex, stock indices, metals, oil, energies, softs, stock CFDs, crypto, exchange-traded funds. A wide spread. For a broker this new, that range is solid.

The Software

Available: MT5, cTrader, and a browser platform. Both platforms from one account. A lot of brokers only give you one or the other. Having both makes a difference. Pick what suits your style.

MT5 is the industry standard. Full charting, automated trading, huge user base. If you have traded on MT4 or MT5 before, you know exactly what you are getting.

cTrader is the more modern one. Better depth of market. Smoother chart interaction. Built-in algo trading. Plenty of traders like it better than MT5 once they try it.

FIX API is offered for algo traders but requires the VIP account ($25,000 to open). TradingView charting is said to be on the roadmap. That should make the platform set when it lands.

Accounts and Pricing

Three account types: Standard, Edge, VIP.

Standard. 1.0 pip spreads. Zero commission. Easy to track. No minimum deposit. Works for anyone who does not want to think about commission.

Edge. Raw spreads from 0.0 pips average. Flat commission of $3.50 each way. What you actually pay: raw spread plus $7 per full lot. On liquid pairs, the raw spread is often a fraction of a pip. Meaning your all-in cost can sit below 0.5 pips. That is cheap for a broker with $0 to start. Most brokers that offer pricing like this want $500 or more to open. This broker requires zero deposit.

VIP account. $25k to open. FIX API, sub-20ms execution, negotiated fees. Not something the average person. Ignore this one unless you move real size.

Infrastructure

The execution is where Tab Trade separates from most new launches. Equinix LD4/LD5. Execution below 30 milliseconds on Edge. Under 20ms on VIP. That is proper execution targets. Most retail brokers operate at 100ms to 300ms.

Does this affect you? If you scalp, absolutely. The difference between a 30ms fill and a 200ms fill is the difference between. If you trade higher timeframes, you will not notice. The point is they invested in proper execution. That is they are not cutting corners on the tech.

Combine those fill times with the Edge account pricing and the total package makes sense. Hardly anyone in this bracket have infrastructure at this level.

Safety

Now, the detail that requires honesty. Tab Trade is regulated by Saint Lucia's FSRA. That is outside tier-1 jurisdiction. No CySEC. No fund protection scheme. If that is a problem for you, stop reading. There are ASIC-licensed brokers out there.

However. Benjamin Boulter came from BlackBull Markets, an FMA-regulated broker. The Equinix infrastructure is expensive. Scam brokers do not pay for Equinix connectivity. This does not make it safe. It does be part of how you think about it.

The deal: you give up tier-1 protection. In exchange: high leverage, cheap spreads, no minimum deposit, Equinix execution. Whether that is worth it comes down to your priorities.

Deposit Bonus

TabTrade has a welcome bonus of up to $2,000. Standard sign-up bonus. You deposit, TabTrade add bonus funds. The normal fine print: turnover conditions before you can withdraw the bonus. Review the fine print before you deposit.
